It does seem most drivers pay greater attention when they see us on the street. But the parent leading the Bike Bus told me one driver on Ridge Road was angry and yelling at him and the kids as they made their way up the road shortly after 7 AM.
Car brain is real, and it shows itself as anger and impatience anytime a driver is impeded, even if it's only for a few seconds.
I love this idea! What an amazing experience, not only for the kids, but for the parents, too, and even for many drivers. Yay!

Unfortunately, that doesn't surprise me either, but it's disgusting and very frightening.
